Accelerated File Exchange

Depending on your system configuration not all features described here may be available.

Folders

The function is only available for admin users.

Usually the system creates an empty folder along with a transfer job. This folder will be used for files, uplodaed by yourself or other users. Alternatively, you may select an existing folder along with its content.

Clicking the folder icon 📂 displays a list of existing folders whose contents can be shared.

Choose the desired folder and click Select. To deselect a folder, click Abort.

The name of the selected folder is shown to the right of the folder icon.

Templates

You can save settings of a transfer job for future use by creating a template. Fill in any parameters just like creating a new job, but instead of choosing Create, click 💾 (disk icon) on the bottom right and type in a name for your template.

To use a saved template, click on the two-files icon📄📄. A list of your templates is displayed.

Choose the desired template and click Select. This transfers all values from the template to the current transfer job except the expiration date.

To remove a template, select its name in the list and click Delete.

By using Abort you can close the template selector without changing the current job settings.

Job Properties

Various parameters help you to identify a transfer job in your workflows. Moreover, you can defined several limitations.

Title Denotes the new transfer job.
Reference Here you can provide an internal ID, reference number or the like.
Description Here you may add additional information.
Metadata Specifies metadata handling for this transfer job. Potential values are: none, auto-generated or user-provided.
Expires Allows to define a date at which the transfer job will be removed from the system.
Max. size Limits the total size of all files in this job. For system default, use no value or 0. You may use MB, GB or TB postfix to provide mega, giga or terabytes, e.g. 10GB.
Max. files Limits the total number of files for this transfer job. For system default, use no value or 0.

Shared with

By clicking + you create a user share, i.e. allowing upload and/or download access to this transfer job for a user defined by an e-mail address. Type in the user's e-mail address and select the corresponding functions:

You can remove shares by clicking the trash can icon 🗑 on the left of each entry.

Allowing re-share gives share users the permission to create further shares of this transfer job. The share users however cannot create shares with access rights exceeding their own permissions, e.g. they may not allow uploads to anybody else when you just allow downloads for them.

Relay Jobs

By clicking + you can create a relay job, i.e. the system will automatically pass uploaded files to a TIXstream MFT system as final destination. Therefore select a Target System and a Target Location.

Note that relaying files requires to lock the transfer job. This can be done by you or the user uploading files.

Relay jobs can be removed by clicking the trash can icon 🗑 on the left of each entry.

Common

Activate the button with the letter icon ✉ (Send me status e-mails) on the top right to receive e-mail status notifications about this transfer job for yourself.

After entering all job properties, click Create.

Many of these properties can also be modified and added after creating the transfer job, e.g. you can add more shares.
